Adding the ip "x.x.x.x" line to my server.cfg didn't do anything. If I use a packet sniffer I can see the heartbeat commands being sent to the servers, then a little while later I see the master servers request stuff from my server, (rules, players, etc).. but they still don't add it to the server list.
I think sv_region 0 is east coast, eastcoast - sv_region 0 westcoast - sv_region 1 south america - sv_region 2 europe - sv_region 3 asia - sv_region 4 australia - sv_region 5 middle east - sv_region 6 africa - sv_region 7 world - sv_region 255 Sgt.Rock -=GOM=- wrote:
You have to tell the master-list what public IP your server are presented at.. So in your server.cfg you should add this line: IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (your public ip) Otherwise Source Dedicated server will get the IP from its interface (LAN IP-address) and forward that to the master-list, which is a no-go. Regards, Sgt.Rock PS: You should try to select the region your server is located in, instead of "world" (sv_region 0) Will help in getting your server shown to "local" players. -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Brian [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sendt: 8. august 2005 04:11 Til: [email protected] Emne: [hlds] Server isn't being shown on master list? I've been running a Sourceforts Dedicated server recently, and I cannot get it to show up on the master server list. Players can connect fine if I give them the IP. It's getting quite annoying as the server sits empty. Server Config: sv_lan 0 sv_region 0 srcds -game sourceforts -console +map sf_overload -noipx Ports 27000-27999 and 1200 forwarded to my computer, both TCP and UDP I've tried using the heartbeat command, with no luck. I can't use -ip because the computer only has a lan IP, and there is _nothing_ I can do to change that (The modem and router are combined, no getting rid of the router) I'm out of things to try, any suggestions? _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
