I haven't seen any Pinion ads in TF2 servers (then again, I only go on Mann
Up servers). To the extent of my knowledge, Valve only uses Pinion in
official L4D(2) servers.

And yes, it is your right to block anything you can. It is also the right
of the server to deny you from playing.
