I haven't gone around running too many source servers, but I fail to understand what are you griping about. What is the problem with a sv_maxrate 25000 and sv_maxupdaterate 100? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kennycom" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 22, 2004 6:13 AM Subject: Re: [SPAM] [hlds_linux] League/TWL server settings

TWL/SAL are clueless.
The settings for sv_maxrate, sv_minrate, sv_maxupdaterate, sv_minupdaterate, and sv_maxunlag need to be tuned on a per server basis based upon available bandwith and expected player counts.
Isn't the max for maxrate 20000 anyway?

I had a match cfg package passed my way for the TWL for their 2-v-2/3-v-3/5-v-5 matches for CSS
In the cfg's I noticed this... sv_maxrate 25000 I wanted to get input from the gameserver hosting community as to weather you guys are OK with them doing this?? Even though it would be for a small player count, and for the matches only.
