I miss the original beta SRCDS. Whatever happened? At least the gameplay is almost as smooth as the beta was, now days.
I also used to run a lot more servers on less hardware than I do now. I easily ran two CS 1.6 servers and two Beta CSS servers, for example, all full, with no complaints on a dual xeon. Now I run a single CSS server, with a single CS 1.6 server. Same hardware, fewer slots. > I concur, there was an optimization for srcds but that was almost over > 1,5 years ago.
