There is no whitelist in TF2 , there is file called whitelist.cfg what is pretty ignored by game, you have to create pure_server_whitelist.txt, and type rules here, but do you think every admin know it ? They just start server by using hldsupdatetool (any tutorial on internet ) and install Sourcemod + plugins , thats all what normal admin can do, why you think every admin know how block wallhacked textures? That pretty worked in cs source, blocking ignoreZ function on sv_consistency 1 servers mean skins still works, its not crc32 check but it block wallhack, and if you wanna crc32 check (skins not allowed) you will use sv_pure, why isnt this method used in TF2 and L4D too ?
Its looks pretty stupid if cheat developers give main credits to Valve for enabling ignoreZ.. 2009/5/6 AnAkIn . <[email protected]>: > Well, in TF2, you can modify the whitelist with sv_pure 1 and make it work. > Then you may be talking about allowing custom models but protecting the > wallhack with sv_consistency, which is the $ignoreZ function in .vmt files. > Yes, the $ignoreZ function no longer work on CSS for player models (but may > still work for weapons I guess), and work for everything on TF2. > > But in L4D, there is no way to make sv_pure 1 checks the .vpk files, so > people can make infected/zombies wallhack models easily. > Also, the sounds are not in .vpk files, so if someone wants to make sv_pure > 1 checks them, it'll take a long time for the user to enter the server > because it'll need a check on every file. > > And of course sv_pure 2 won't work because GCF files are not used. > > Seriously, this should be one of the main priority IMO.
