Which is what I feared. For kicks, I decided to install straight Debian 6 on this hardware earlier this morning. After getting a vanilla install of srcds installed & running, I was able to reproduce this exact error. Finally, I've been testing with the same set of people. But yeah, I suspect this would be something to do with the hardware.
