There are already some options clientside to block output of plugins, only not working enough imo.
cl_showtextmsg "1" // def. "1", Enable/disable text messages printing on the screen. cl_showpluginmessages "1" // def. "1", Allow plugins to display messages to you (if it only would work) cl_chatfilters "63" // def. "63" Stores the chat filter settings 63 = 00111111 binary = all on. // 00000001 = 1, Show Joins/leaves in chat // 00000010 = 2, Show Name Changes in chat // 00000100 = 4, Show Public Chat (disable for only team chat ?? ) // 00001000 = 8, Show Server Messages (if only this would work on messages from plugins...) // 00010000 = 16, Show Team Changes // 00100000 = 32, Show Achievement Announce // 00011111 = 31, Show: Joins/Leaves, NameChanges, Public chat, team changes. It is just not blocking those "stats" in mid-screen and other stuff, keep having to type "hlx_display 0" to get rid of the chat being 20 lines of stats crap, the game announcements etc and the thing one wants to read, the 1 line of chat there from a player, gets flooded over. >________________________________ > From: dan <[email protected]> >To: Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list ><[email protected]> >Sent: Friday, 11 May 2012, 14:30 >Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Mandatory Team Fortress 2 Update Released > >On 11/05/2012 13:09, Eli Witt wrote: >> You could always stop your servers, uninstall TF2 and stop complaining. > >I only said "Please add something to disable this client side." >That's hardly a complaint.
