The only thing you seem to suggest is giving clients an option to opt out of
something a server pushes on to them which could be any plugin addition, any
configuration change etc etc. This is no different than anything else and
the idea of something like this aside from the features already there which
are muting other clients, disable sprays and so on are not needed. Many many
server owners/administrators run servers with a change of chat colors, tag
colors, name colors to distinguish themselves from other players, other
groups and whatever else you can come up with. That is something server
side, clients have a choice to go where they wish so they already have the
option if you ask me - picking another server to play on if they don't like
it or something else.

Solution presents itself, problem solved.

Neither do I. If you look carefully you'll see I didn't suggest not adding
the feature.

I like the way you used the words "option" after colors.
