You're being somewhat disingeneous here, Ted.

We're arguing that information about IPv4 availability should not be
carried by IPv6 RAs, since it avoids a number of very unpleasant
incestuous interactions.  That is most certainly a "technical" argument,
however you care to define this particular term.

Keeping the two stacks cleanly separated has a number of practical
("technical"?) advantages:

  - in modular operating systems (not only Linux), this avoids dodgy
    interactions between separate daemons;
  - administrators can debug IPv4 issues without having to delve into
    the IPv6 configuration, and vice versa;
  - once (if?) IPv4 is phased out, we won't need to carry obsolete
    IPv4-related options within the IPv6 protocols.
