Have you ever heard about sampled sounds ? Write music with Finale or Sibelius, use Garritan sound bank & listen. It sounds reasonable, even much better than most Sunday-afternoon-orchestras or weekend orchestra, BUT - it is missing the human factor of sound coloring completely.
