I agree with Daniel Canarutto. I can hear when the pitches are moving up and down, but it sounds like a tune sung by a child who can't hold a pitch--who just mimics the rise and fall of melody. I don't know if the Mahler 1 contingent was joking, but I guessed "Mary Had a Little Lamb". Maybe I'm just not as sophisticated as you guys. :-)
I think this demonstration lends weight to Hans' argument.
