I use a H2 to record board meetings and it does a perfectly good job.  It
has too much noise for any type of high quality music recording and the
external mic input is a stereo mini jack with no phantom power.  This is
not a great concern if you just want to record your home practice session.

If you want to make high quality music recordings get a machine with
phantom power and XLR mic inputs.  Howard's article is a very helpful
starting point.
