Thanks for that information, Ricardo. I used the original Zoom Q3 for my data gathering trip last fall, but have considered upgrading for the next installment. IHS members can see and hear the previous results at http://www.hornsociety.org/en/multimedia/european-style-surveys - non-members can read a description of the project and see still pictures. I had to use the low recording level and normalize (boost the level) of each track in an audio editor. The Q3HD has a built in normalizing function - have you used it? The advertising description of the Q3HD makes it sound as if the video quality is also greatly improved, beyond just having higher resolution.
