Although I know that there is evidence to suggest that the tone of an 
unlaquered horn is different from laquered I would suggest that a greater 
difference can be obtained by practising half an hour longer and learning to 
produce the sound you want on the instrument you have and with which you are 
already happy.  I could go further.
