Wow. Printing to a file is interesting. The B&W did get saved to the file looking correct (normal B&W). And when I saved a color photo to a file and loaded it in Photoshop, it looked too red but kinda passable. This is exactly the way my normal color photos turn out, so perhaps I've always been getting too much red due to using the printers profiles or something.
This is a fresh install on a new computer. It is going to a print server, instead of being hooked directly up to my PC. Printing to a file via qimage is how I'm seeing the color differences. When I load it up and look at the original side by side, not only is it more red, but it's also more sharpened (too much). I use a Canon 30D and have high quality images. When I print from Photoshop to a file, I can't seem to load the file back up. When I designate .jpg in the output name, I get some type of error upon loading. It perhaps wants to save a .prn file? That's what the "What's this" info box says when I flaot my cursor over the "Save to file" within Photoshop. So now I'm more confused. Perhaps this is why you guys do all this profile stuff. My Canon i9900 prints such awesome photos with no adjustment I never had to look into profiles. I don't know what to ask anymore. :( Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
