Hi everyone - new member to the forum! I'm an amateur photographer, and been looking into printing my own canvases for home and to possibly sell at craft fairs, etc.
However, I have a limited budget, so I'm looking for a fairly reasonable setup. Some of the things I've been considering... 1. The cost of the printer itself (possibly HP130) 2. The cost of upgrading to a CISS (seen a few on EBay - any good?) 3. The cost of adding a stand and paper catcher (for HP130) 4. The cost of canvas stretchers 5. The cost of canvas rolls As you can see, I've honed in on the HP130 - it seems a lot of printer for the money and I know I can get a second hand one on EBay. That being said, I would certainly consider alternatives. I was going to bid on an HP 5000 (Went for £1020 in an Ebay auction!!) but I shyed away when I found out how much the cartridges cost!! Also the size was a consideration. One thing that concerned me was the maximum weight of the canvas the HP130 could take - 300gsm - most canvases start at 350 and seen up to 450gsm. Does that mean the 130 can only take thin canvas? I'd welcome any thoughts anyone has! Thanks in advance, Glenn. ------------------------------------ Website: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPDesignJet_Printers Post message: [email protected] Subscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
