I would take caution when buying used printers on ebay. I purchased the printer new, added the cutter and the stand that comes with the catch. I have read a number of people here mention a couple different canvas types for this printer. I think they are the swellable canvas, and I dont know why you would want to go with pigment inks. Once you print your work out, you can also clear coat it with an archival spray. There are 2 or 3 that I know of, and this will protect it.
if you go pigmented, you will need a Z series, or an Epson with pigments. These are fine, but not cost effective in my opinion...it also depends on the main useage for the tool. If all you are gonna print is canvas, I would want a printer that can handle thicker stock. That would be my first step. I have yet to try canvas...I need to check through the post here to find what the types recommended were...but I rather have someone respond to this. :-) good luck.
