FYI I have done a few service calls lately (mostly on 100/110 & 120) for extremely loud power supply fans. It seems the filter will get clogged and the plotters will coat the fan with a grimmy ink haze. it'll cause the fan to slow, then bearings get loud and if you keep going it'll throw a code. HP sells just power supply as one unit, but it looks like fan is just simple 65mm fan John

Again, I don't know and am probably making it much more complicated than it is...Still an interesting discussion... kd
