Hi, When you say canvas size and image size, do you mean these terms in Photoshop?
Coz what I think you want to do is use the image size in Photoshop and not the canvas size. So if in photoshop you have your image and you go to Image Size and it says, for example 20" x 16". Then you go to Canvas size and set 24" x 20". When you go back to Image Size, you should see 24" x 20" as being your new Image Size. When you then go to define your custom pagesize, you can define it as Portrait and 24" x 20". If you're using the Postscript Driver, anytime you define a custom pagesize, use the portrait setting and define your page. If you want to create your own cut marks or lines, you can select your image (Ctrl + A) and then stroke it with a 1px line on the center. Then your custom page size could be 1/4" bigger. The thing is, I don't know where you're are setting Canvas Size, but that is not being sent to the printer as white space. If you create white space in the pagesize definition and you're using Inked Area or so on the printer, this white space is removed. So you need to add that white space in Photoshop as being part of the image. Instead, the print had an image size of nearly 16inch x 27inch with practically no margins at the top and bottom but 3.5inch and 4.5inch margins on the sides.
