Maybe reseating helps, take out the formatter, "boot" without it, 
turn device off again, reseat it and wish for the best.

If you really feel like taking that thing apart, you can check the 
front panel connections, on the slim chance that some cable failed at 
the same Moment you ran the FW Update, but front panel errors are 
almost never the front panel, esp. when you can still read the System 
error on the Front Panel.
A permanent 08:11 is bad news any way you spin it, I'm sorry I can't 
help you any further.
