Thanks everybody I will have a go and try strap variations. Sadly I also have had a smashed gurdy, by our UK postal service on the day Kitty first arrived. It was rebuilt and sounds wonderful but still bears the scars of neglect by the postal service. To march off The Esplanade with the highland pipes would be amazing, but most Scots are so parochial I would get accused of blasphemy. Quite often I get asked if I play a real instrument and did I know any proper music, grrrrrrr. It would probably be a great shock to many Scots to find that we were probably the last people in Europe to get bagpipes, he he he JON
