I hear you. I'm also not trying to be combative on this topic as I 
understand the level of commitment required to get it done. I will add 
that I am prepared to make some time to build out the ui for this 
feature if it is deemed a reasonable addition to the interface.

Absolutely agree. IMO you guys are doing an excellent job of fixing the 
stability issues and cleaning up the existing interface. I do feel 
strongly that the existing functionality of Hydrogen combined with the 
clearly laid out and well designed interface makes it a very useful 
piece of software and appealing to many AL users as a possible replacement.

A combination of hydrogen, tX, xwax, ardour, superlooper and 
freewheeling so to speak...

This is an excellent question and there are few people who can 
authoritatively comment on this. I have a friend who I could try to tap.

IMO the thing that sucks about AL is the complexity of the total app. I 
don't see things like time stretching and multi track recording being a 
necessity in hydrogen especially when working in a Linux/jack env.
