Howard,

I agree with you. Somehow I would expect IBM to come up with a similar
product but will act/feel like the old TSO we all know (and love/hate). From
what little feedback that was given us IBM is scared about how TSO has grown
over the years (This bit for this and that bit for that). Probably the
entire structure is so poorly documented now that no one can really touch
it.

Mind you this could let IBM to take the "best " parts and move them to the
replacement and leave the old stuff behind. IKJDAIR was mentioned as a
nightmare. 

As to Bob Shannons comments, so its stabalized.. that pretty much means that
their should be a replacement is in the wings (to me).

VSPC at one time was thought to be a TSO killer, but it was pretty apparant
(to me) it was dead on arrival.

Why not get SHARE board to ask? That will let everyone know what the
situation really is (assuming IBM will let the question be asked or for that
matter even answered.
