Who in their right mind would have purchased an OS/2-based PC in the
last five years? The imbedded OS/2 systems are one story, and Ed is
correct that there will be maintenance contracts available, but Windows
clearly established its dominance over the last five years - maybe
longer. Anyone who relied on OS/2 must have realized he/she was on
borrowed time. I preferred OS/2 to Windows, but the battle was lost long
ago. There was never a question about IBM dropping OS/2 support; the
only question was when.
