They don't need SYSPROG/STORAGE/DBA types. Those functions are out-sourced. They need architecture/JOAT/coordination types with a strong BS-filter. The organisation is set up so that the service provider only does what is asked. They out-sourced so much, that nobody knew what to ask for. And, as most SP's, they are cutting back on expensive (experienced) staff, so we do a lot of review of new implementations. I have relied heavily on this server, CICS, & RACF, due to the environment I'm in. But, I have tried to formulate my queries as: "Where do I find DOC on ..."? When in doubt.
