>sent him away to the two week MVS internals class and then the JES2 internals class. Just 2 months after he got back from that class he left the company for a more lucrative position.
About 18 years ago, a system programmer left one company that was a customer of a large ISV that had a policy of not hiring from customers for at least 6 months after an employee leaves. This employee came to work for us, and managed to convince our management that some extra education was needed. Actually, there was a lot of jumping up and down that the SYSPROG needed the JES2 internals course. Took it, left and went to work for the ISV. Management was not pleased. PS: A couple of months later this SYSPROG called our manager to attempt to sell us the product the ISV had developed. Even less pleased management. - Too busy driving to stop for gas! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
