Yes, if you pswitch, then your alternate becomes primary and there is no 
alternate.

After I found out what the SR panel is (I never use that): You are running 
AMRF, and the system keeps messages with certain descriptor codes in its AMRF 
buffers. Presumably that is what the SR panel shows (we don't run AMRF, so all 
I see are open replies). In order to delete a message from AMRF, it needs to 
get DOM'd. That is normally done by the task that detected the condition in the 
first place when that selfsame task detects that the condition no longer 
exists. I don't know if XCF does this DOMing (but I assume they do). So either 
that DOM didn't work/wasn't done or the message you are seeing was manipulated 
to have it reissued by someone else (automation?) who does not do proper DOMing.

In order to get rid of it (if you're sure that the condition has been handled) 
all you need to do is DOM it yourself by using the appropriate K C command.
