I agree with you, but that doesn't mean that everyone on the list needs to be exposed to a constant stream of it. Warnings aren't really seen as warnings by someone who has an issue like that. Possibly it's a Alzheimer or other mental decline issue, that could be helped by someone with the credentials to do so, but I don't think that IBM-MAIN is that place.
In the end, I just wanted to make sure that the people on the list will stand behind the decision(s) of the moderator, and not flame him/her just because they don't agree with the decision. That's also why I think removing the ability to update for some period of time is sufficient. I don't think people should be ex-communicated, but proper behavior is needed for people to be able to use the list properly. At least, I think so.
