I think that two LMOD entries with different names but identical ALIASes might work -- SMP/E treats ALIAS as raw text; simply passed to Binder. Of course BPAM requires that the ALIASes be in different data sets, which SMP/E supports and Phil wants.
The question that was not answered is how the decision is made to run the LMOD with the WXTRN'ed code vs the one where the WXTRN was not resolved. This would seem to imply that the LMOD was Job Step PGM= and two STEPLIBS were used. If the LMOD was being called by an already running step (ie: Is LINK'ed or ATTACH'ed) then just call it by the correct ALIAS name and both can be in the same library (since it is invoked by its alias not lmod name)
