I have made every effort to get rid of vendor x software. I personally got 3 companies to drop their software (and saved a bundle). A *LONG* (30 years) time ago there was a company that when we upgraded our hardware. The vendor was the first in line with a bill of 1 *MILLION* dollars. We did everything we could do get rid of their software, unfortunetly there was no other vendor out there offering anything close. The company I worked for put the company on notice that we would never buy anything from them again. The company was happy with their check and couldn’t have cared less.
