My 79 C27 had a Danforth 13 anchor, 6 foot rhode and about 150 ft of line.
After my first anchor experince this weekend I need a better solution than
hauling the thing up from the back of the boat, where its currently stored..
I was looking at stanchion/pulpit mounts for the front of the boat to hang the
anchor on - but what does one do with all the line? My boat does not have an
anchor locker. I was thinking about putting in a hawse pipe and using that nose
of the boat to store line/chain. My only concern with that is introducing wet
line to an already ventilation challenged area.
Please let me know what has and has not work for you. Pictures would be great.
