I don't know how much the mast weighs but would like to hear what the freight
bill is on it. The length is going to make the billo pretty high. We ship
many things and if we can keep it under 8' UPS can deliver but over that then
it goes LTL freight and it can be hign is many areas.

I envy you for this trip as it should be really nice. I've heard a lot of very
good things about the North Channel.

I have a 1971 Catalina 27 (hull #65).  I am cruising from New Rochelle, New
York to The North Channel of Georgian Bay for the summer, returning in October
to New Rochelle.

I was going to strike the mast and lay it on deck, but am thinking of shipping
it from New Rochelle to Buffalo, New York to elevate deck clutter.  Does anyone
know approximately how much the mast weights.  I have its length, but weight is
a mystery.
