This year we took out the old, non-functioning Hot Water heater, moved 2 large cruising anchors, 60' of chain, 200' of surplus rode (we still have a danforth and 100' of rode), a whole bunch of tools and spares and extra junk.... I figure we got rid of 400 pounds of weight, all in the ends of the boat. The difference is noticable... less squat in the stern and she goes through the tacks a lot easier.
Secondly, we have added bubble-levels in the cockpit and on the side of the mast that are fixed to tell us when the boat is flat so we can move crew weight appropriately.

It's no big deal since there's no water below, and it certainly doesn't seem to affect performance in the least. Quite the contrary, she points like a dream. We were out today in a 5-10 kt breeze and were literally running circles around everyone else. Just curious....
