Has anyone successfully removed the "doghouse" from their boat with the mast up? The "doghouse" means the panel over the cabin top that contains the two "skylight" windows. I would like to clean under there, and I can see a couple of wooden shims that might have to be re-bedded.
I tried a few years ago, but it seemed that it had to be moved forward to clear the traveler. When it tried that it would stop at the mast before I could get the aft part clear of the traveler. I did not try to remove the traveler and just gave up. Any suggestions (other than dropping the mast) would be appreciated. Gary Spielman '95 C270LE #158 GSPOT Northern Minnesota
