i have to say i agree, and i worry about things like the rates of colic in constantly-stalled horses. it's common around here too, and often "turnout" means two hours a day, alone. i nearly wept at one point when looking at a "nice" barn that looked like a shiny wooden jail to me, and i feel very lucky to have found 24x7 turnout with run-in and buddies for stjarni.... given the pictures of sonny, all i can say is that they look kinda posed, and i don't have any idea what his day-to-day life is like from them. but perhaps i am just not very perceptive. --vicka
