Yes I thinkit´s very unknown to thoose that
are training Icelandics here in Iceland anyway
as we lay much in not ride fast or ride at all
at hardground/pavements if you have a chance
and not gait ride if you have to go over pavements to get to the trail.

yes this is the only place I have read about
souring and escpecially how to do it!!!!
I myself wouldn´t spread the word about how to harm horses to performe.
because you don´t know if there is any nutty person who will really trie it.

>Road Founder, as we're using it here, is a term that is used in the racking

Yes and the racking horse world does only exist
in the USA...........thoughts about that? you
never see it in europe (Iceland is a part of Europe)

>It is something that is practiced with Icelandic Horse

Maybe in the US as you are so concerned about
but on this small reef in the Atlantic no.

>Adding weight for lift:

and protection on trotters for an example you
ad weight for protection on the shoe and then
also boots so they will not interfere on high
speed! In the trotters world you are not doing it for lift but for speed.

If I dont put on leatherboots weight 180gr each
and then go down to the track for some pace
racing I will probly have a very injured horse
as the weight on the front makes my horse take a
longer step with front legs so he will not interfere with back legs.

I also trie to have a little shorter toe on back
legs if the horse has real problems had a mare 5
years ago that could hardly trot beacuse she was
always in herself klong-klong-klong.........but ok on tolt.
