It's a neat idea. And not entirely alien to the con goer... this is effectively the commitment made by wargamers. I say go for it.
Only snag I can think of is, no plan survives contact with the players. While a single con slot can diverge wildly from the scenario as written, it's ok to wing it for the hour or two that's left. Also most con scenarios are a little more railroaded than normal campaign sessions, but the players are sort of relied upon to overlook this. After 3 scenarios of a mini campaign, you might have a lot of thinking to do. So it won't suit every GM. ________________________________ From: Colm <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wed, 7 April, 2010 12:40:27 Subject: [irish gaming] Mini campaigns at cons Hi all, I am somewhat starved for RPGs in Kerry and feel once again drawn to them, in the cylical natuer us gamers seem to go through. I have two campaigns ready to roll - an AD&D 2nd ed and an In Nomine one. Given the syuccess of continuity stories by Nick and Ashley over several cons, and my enjoyment and equal success of Vaticon (to me, it will always be Vaticon!) Trilogies in which I have been invovled, I have a question for ye: Would you be interested in a mini-campaign over one con weekend, taking every timetabled slot, with the same GM and same players?
