Since we started handling bigger networks (25 nodes and above), Shanker rarely speaks
of anything but DHCP ;-) Actually
we often choose to use a combination of both static and DHCP, the
servers/routers/managed switches with static address
(usually reserving 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.50 as a static range) and the workstations
being configured with DHCP.
