this is just a quirk with PCQ Linux. and a nice one at that
all the services are disabled by default. I mean inetd. in PCQ 7.1 they r
known as xinetd
you can enable them in two ways.
1. using chkconfig
2. just going to /etc/xinetd.d
and editing any of the service file which you want to enable say telnet do
vi /etc/xinetd.d
now you will see an entry disable = yes, just change it to no.
similarly ftp etc.
this should solve
