i installed from the source only ... but i have xfree86 version 3.x on my
woody machine ... and an S3 Trio64V2/DX display card. The problem is that
Xfree86 4.x bundled with woody does'nt have support for my card but the
latest version of xfree86 has. so i want that first. secondly, i can't
fidn out how to enable the XVideo (xv) extensions for my X. i am also
using gnome but switching to wmaker or something won't be a problem.help me as i
really want to chuck out windows for most of my work ...
currently i use windows only for watching movies and doing VB/VC coding
