yes, that's right, i didn't read it carefully enough before.
but still you must admit that this isn't a neat way of doing things. the
startup script for that runlevel may still look for whatever you renamed
that link to, and not finding it, throw an error message. to avoid being
crude, one should use the tools that are provided for this purpose.
