Well, yes there needs to be a tech session/discussion in the meetings,
no doubt, but it shouldnt make the meeting a "techy  class" as someone
mentioned earlier on the list. If education is a goal then it should be
sought with a dedicated effort and over a period of consecutive days,
say 4 days/a week/a fortnight/ a month.Such classes could be charged
for, and if need be, conducted with the help of other organisations with
the relevant skills. The "Linux in a Teaspoon" effort is an apt example
of this kind of an effort.

The live demos of what should be shown in the meet should be such that
people could get started and get interested enough to learn the rest of
the stuff by themselves, thru exploration and consultation. That's what
Linux and FLOSS is all about, I would guess.
BTW Anirban, u could do well to read about top-posting and snipping off
portions of the mail that u feel are'nt relevant to ur post.
