You have in one small (??) mail summed up the state of most of the small
LUGs in India and abroad. If Linux has to grow beyond the level which it has
reached now ... if die hard windows users have to be converted ... then the
social face of Linux ... the LUG meetings ... have to change.

your statistics are fine but then this is hardly a 'group' ... except for
the three four ppl you have mentioned in the mail ... i don't think anyone
else is actually a member of the group ... and about registering as a
non-profit organisation ... ilug-cal is way too small for that right now ..
i think

i'm for this suggestion of fixing up a particular day for the meetings
instead of deciding on the day on the list ... this is how it happens around
the world ... and moreover it's not possible for us to take into account
everyones schedule while scheduling meetings ... this might go on for some
time ... but when the group becomes a little more big .. it's not possible
..
instead of deciding the time according to availability of memeber ... let
the members make time for the LUG .. i'm sure they can do this much for
linux :)

and ya .. tech sessions apart ... i think it's high time we do a CD
burning/install fest ... maybe somewhere in february depending on how linux
fares at Compass.
