To change the default LAN IP Address of the router : Login to the router >
Advanced Setup > LAN ; You can change LAN IP , netmask and All LAN related
settings (*Be careful on these settings*). But usually you don't need to
change it. Really why should you change the LAN IP...? And i guess DHCP
server is running on it... Please refer to my last posts. A subnet is
something derived from a single IP. Different subnets are needed on large
networks. One can find the subnet address just by multiplying the IP and the
subnet mask ( my trick :) hows it...? ). Two computing devices can
communicate with each other, if they are on the same subnet. Subnet mask
gives the number of bits allotted to host address and network address out of
the 32-bits available for addressing in IPv4. We are usually on a subnet
made by our ISP....
