Can you spot few organisations which offer them in India? Even the likes of Infosys and TCS squeezes them especially after the "honeymoon period" they usually are away from home for 12-14 hours. Let's give the family overheads their due. If due to family a project gets extended to 180% of estimated time, So be it. India's cell of primary social fabrics is ones family and extended family and workplace family. I can expound on this enough as I have invested enough time and resources on all these aspects for over 30 years. We cannot afford to be workoholics considering Indian Infrastructure (family, relations, commuting, self development, laxity, etc. etc. , and the cost hence). We just cannot implant the westen "Protestent Work Ethics" on Indians as yet. (India had about1/3rd of word GDP till 17th CE, Now 3% after imposition of the "western" ideas -- Angus Madison) It simply reduces our natural productivity otherwise. I have never seen that in other countries as they have it drilled in them. -- Regards, Rajagopal _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc ILUGC Mailing List Guidelines: http://ilugc.in/mailinglist-guidelines
