Charles, I am posting this msg, using a 5 year old PC. My rev D iMac is toast after 2.5 years. I didn't get Applecare & when the Logic board failed, the technician said it would cost as much money to fix as it would to buy another iMac. Too bad.
I am now using a WINDOZ 95 PC that crashes 2-3 times at every startup. I have fought off a nasty virus. My advice is: Applecare, after 3 years, you'll be glad you did & you may want a newer machine anyway. (iMac with a dual processor?) :)) HTH!
