   I am posting this msg, using a 5 year old PC.   My rev D iMac is toast
after 2.5 years.
I didn't get Applecare & when the Logic board failed, the technician said it
would cost as much money to fix as it would to buy another iMac.   Too bad.

  I am now using a WINDOZ 95 PC that crashes 2-3 times at every startup.   I
have fought off a nasty virus.   My advice is:  Applecare, after 3 years,
you'll be glad you did & you may want a newer machine anyway.   (iMac with a
dual processor?) :))
