Yeah, sounds like you've got the wrong type of gadget, what you have is for networking several older Macs (ones with serial ports) together. It has nothing to do with Ethernet. The fastest (and probably cheapest) option would be to install either a PCI or Comm Slot (I or II) Ethernet card in your 6400. Then you can connect a crossover Ethernet cable between your Macs and transfer files or do whatever it is you want to do... If you don't want to open the case on your 6400, you could get a SCSI to Ethernet adapter, that would probably be slower and more expensive than an internal Ethernet card. A LocalTalk to Ethernet converter would be the slowest and most expensive option. What is it exactly that you want to do once the computers are networked?
