Well stated. Amazing how so many people just don't "get" this simple 
concept. Apparently there was a popular conception at one time that 
warned against buying extended warranties or "protection plans" that 
came about in the mid '80s. Great advice, but only in reference to 
extended warranties for radar detectors or microwave ovens; *not* cars 
or computers. In the cases of the latter, only a fool forgoes them. 
It's like saying, "I feel healthy today. I think I'll skip paying my 
health insurance premium."
