Just wanted to mention that you should give yourself an "attaboy" for logically and methodically troubleshooting the problem. Good job!! > Reconnected the Zip and it froze > again. So it looks like I have to determine if it is a software or > hardware problem with the Zip drive. Easy to determine: 1. Plug the Zip directly into one of your Mac's built-in USB ports, not the one on the keyboard. 2. If the problem disappears, the Zip and the hub don't like each other. 3. If the problem DOESN'T disappear (which I suspect), then you either have a bad Zip (quite possible) or you need to download updated drivers for the Zip to see if that will correct the problem. _Chas_ Atheist having orgasm: "Oh Random!
