(As I've discovered with my family,) iChat is not MSN compatable, at least not yet. iChat works with AIM, the AOL network. Also, as far as I can determine, iChat doesn't allow you to have a convrsation with more than one person per window, except perhaps through Rendevious. I got my family to start using Trillian, a PC multichat application, but becuase of the restrictiveness of iChat, I ended going back to MSN (OSX). I also tried using "Fire" for OSX, but found the same problems with the chat windows. But there's a number of chatting applications out there for OSX, and you might like their interface better than MSN...
